XLRI new campus soon to open in Andhra Pradesh with accommodation for 5000 students

The Xavier School of Management has decided to establish a new campus in Andhra Pradesh soon which will accumulate about 5000 students. As per the reports of Business Standard, the new campus of XLRI will be established in Amaravati for which, the foundation stone was laid yesterday. As per the sources, XLRI Amaravati, will be constructed in the Guntur District in Andhra Pradesh covering a sprawling area of 50 acres. This XLRI new campus would accommodate around 5000 students and provide post-graduate and undergraduate programs in management education.

The foundation stone of the new campus was laid by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandra Babu Naidu along with Father E Abraham, Director, XLRI.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naidu said that XLRI Jamshedpur has thoughtfully designed world-class infrastructure facilities and has become one of the most reputed national B-Schools.

"XLRI practices what it preaches. It observes Value orientation in every sphere of life," the statement quoted Mr Naidu as saying. "I am happy to learn that XLRI has completed 70 glorious years of educating global business leaders and for seventy years the institution has diligently focused on training future business leaders who can help shape the destiny of India with integrity, competence and commitment,"he said. "It is a matter of happy coincidence that XLRI is entering into its Platinum Jubilee Celebration year in 2019,he added.

Director at XLRI Jamshedpur, E. Abraham stated “It is our belief that in emphasizing value-based management education, we will be grooming business leaders who will serve as catalysts of change and become responsible leaders of tomorrow that will carve the destiny of a new India. As we recall XLRI’s historic legacy of 70 years of shaping global business leaders, we need to look towards the future and not be content with our existing laurels. For that, we decided to spread our wings in the other parts of India”.

The Xavier School of Management (XLRI-XSM or XLRI) is a Private management school founded in 1949 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. XLRI began by offering courses for management and trade unions in 1949 before setting up a two-year, full-time program in industrial welfare in 1953. In 1955 it took on the name Xavier Labor Relations Institute, and became India's oldest business management school.
