All these examinations play a very important role in the life of students. This is because once these examinations are successfully passed; the same can opt for higher diploma engineering courses. In the year 2014 there was a slight change in the pattern of examination. There was a single paper for trade theory and employability skill (paper 1) and workshop calculation and science and engineering drawing (paper2) which was conducted on the OMR sheet. The examination conducted was not a subjective type but an objective one. Trade practical exam was conducted conventional type as an old pattern.
However, when it comes to the eligibility criteria to appear for the students, there are no hard and fast rules to appear into these examinations. Students who have successfully passed 10th class examinations can apply for these courses. Over the years the set- up of ITI’s has successfully increased across the country. Reasonably every state has their own institution which includes its own set of rules and regulations.
The main objective of opening up an ITI is to provide technical man power to the industries. The candidates seeking admission are trained in basic skills and the main aims of these are to impart basic skill in trade specified. The duration of this course varies from one year to three years and the colleges for these courses are both government as well as private. It has been proved that most of the ITI’s impart training in technical trades such as a computer operator, mechanic computer hardware, and etc.
