The Department of Pre-University Education (PUE) deals with the First Year and Second Year Pre-University Examinations (Class 11 and Class 12 Examinations). Pre-University Education (PUE) see every year substantial number of students not being able to clear one or more board exam, hence majority of students apply for the provision of Supplementary examination which is conducted in the month of June.

Those students who have appeared for the Supplementary examination are advised to check the results on the official website http://karresults.nic.in, after the Board declares the results somewhere in mid of July.

This year the result of 1st year and 2nd PUC examination was out in public in the last week of April, with not much gap in announcement for both results of the both exams.

Last year, for the academic session 2012-2013, approximately 40% students failed in 2nd PUC examination and only 60% got a clean chit, therefore, the Karnataka education board every year gives another chance to those students who flunk in one or more subjects, to be able to promote themselves further for pursuing higher education and  prove their capabilities, with no intention to dishearten them.

The students after clearing the supplementary examination will be able to pursue the undergraduate programme offered in the state or outside in the same year.

While checking result, bear in mind that results published on their website be only for immediate information to the examinees and may not be final, if you think there is a major  mistake in the evaluation of your paper, you must apply for re-checking immediately.  The marks uploaded on website must not be treated as original mark sheets. Original mark sheets is issued by the Board separately.
