TNEA is known as Tamil Nadu Engineering admission is conducted by Anna University for the under graduate admissions in the state of Tamil Nadu. This is the formal entrance examination and the candidates are selected on the basis of their performances in their 10+2 as specified in the guidelines or the brochures. There is certain eligibility criterion for the students and it is mandatory for the candidates to follow the procedure. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate percentage. Also to appear for such examinations it is mandatory for the students to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The marks of class 11th and 12th will be taken into consideration and on the basis of this assessment would be made.
Another significant aspect is that of application forms. Students can either apply online or offline. While applying online students are supposed to follow a certain code of conduct and instructions. They can download the form and get a print out and then fill it up. Once the form has been filled, students can post or courier it to the concerned address. Another option is that of the offline mode, students can purchase the required form and the brochure from the premises and fill according to the guidelines stated. The application fee for the forms is according to the categories such as for general it is Rs 500 and for the reserved category it is for Rs 250/-. The sale of prospectus and brochure is available in the starting of April i.e. first week of April. The last date for receipt of application is the Midst of May.
As stated above, these examinations are not a cake walk. Students need to work extremely hard and stay focused when it comes to these examinations. Apart from the hard work, students also need to act smartly and cover their entire course. The course structure is designed in such a manner so that intellect and development of the student both takes place. Adding on, the score card of class 12th play a very significant role in such entrance examinations. This is because if a student will score maximum marks, automatically his chance of clearing such entrance will increase.
