In the present scenario, ever year large number of students or candidates who take these examinations. Uttarakhand ITI result or entrance exam is organized by Department of technical education and training and once the examinations are conducted students are supposed to wait for the results and counselling schedule which is later on published on the official website of Uttrakhand ITI. Students appearing for the examinations can download their admit cards on the website. There are various colleges and institutions affiliated to the same and students are allotted institutions on the basis of their particular score or preference.

However, in the year 2014 there was a slight change in the pattern of examination which certainly made a huge difference. There was a single paper for trade theory and employability skill (paper 1) and workshop calculation and science and engineering drawing (paper2) which was conducted on the OMR sheet. The examination conducted was not a subjective type but an objective one. Trade practical exam was conducted conventional type as an old pattern.
