AP PGECET 2015

- is formally known as Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test Conducts by AP State Government. Candidates who are eagerly waiting for admissions in M.Tech courses in Andhra Pradesh must appear for the AP Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET 2015) and qualify in the same.The AP PGECET 2015 is for candidates who have not attempted GATE or have not qualified in GATE. It may be noted that GATE qualified candidates will be given preference during seat allotment and will have to apply separately. About AP PGECET 2015:

Admissions to the M.Tech/ M.E programmes in Andhra Pradesh is through the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test(AP PGECET) which is a State Level Common Entrance Test.

 

Note: GATE qualified candidates are given preference over the AP PGECET qualified candidates during seat allotment and admissions. They are required to apply separately.

 

AP PGECET 2015 Eligibility Criteria:

 

  • Candidates must be Indian Nationals
  • They must be residents of Andhra Pradesh and must meet the local/ non-local status requirements as laid down in the regulations of admission
  • They must have scored a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case candidate belonging to reserved category) in B.E./B.Tech./AMIE in the respective disciplines

 

Note: GATE Qualified candidates will have to apply separately as they are eligible for direct admissions

 

AP PGECET 2015 Exam Pattern:

 

  • The Duration of the exam is 2 hours
  • Total No of Questions asked in the AP PGECET 2015 will be 120
  • All questions will be Objective type with multiple choice answers
  • One mark will be awarded for each correct answer
  • The AP PGECET Cutoff for qualifying is 25% marks

AP PGECET 2015 Application Fees: Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC / ST).

 

Note: To appear for more than one test, separate registration fee has to be paid for each test

Offline at any APonline centers on cash payment

 

AP PGECET 2015 Application Form Process:


  • To apply, candidates must register online
  • After payment of the AP PGECET 2015 examination fees, candidates must log on using the payment transaction ID to enter all details and submit the AP PGECET 2015 online application form
  • Candidates will receive an SMS will be received on their registered mobile no with the Registration number and transaction ID after successful registration

 

Note: Candidates are advised to take a print out of the filled in application form for future reference

 

AP PGECET 2015 Important Dates:


  • Notification of AP PGECET 2015: March 9, 2015
  • Start of AP PGECET online applications: March 12, 2015
  • Last date for Submission & Registration of Online Application form without late fee: April 20, 2015
  • Last date for Submission & Registration of Online Application with late fee : April 30 to May 21, 2015 (with different late fee structure)
  • Downloading of Hall Tickets: May 21 to 23, 2015
  • Dates of Entrance Test: May 25 to 29, 2015
  • Result: June, 2015

 

AP PGECET 2015 Counselling Process:

 

  • Candidates who qualify in GATE/ AP PGECET 2015 first attend the Document verification for the AP PGECET 2015 Counselling
  • They have to sign in the register and pay the non-refundable processing fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST/PH) before verification of certificates
  • They have to enter their Web Options as per their preferences
  • Candidates will be allotted seats as per their Merit in GATE and AP PGECET 2015
