CBSE Board 12th Result 2015 announced on 25th May 2015
- M Gayatri, from New Green Field School, Saket, Delhi, has emerged as all-India topper by scoring 496 marks out of 500.
- The second position went to Maithli Mishra of Amity International, Noida. Maithli has scored 495 marks out of 500.
- Saurabh Bhambri of KR Mangalam World School, Greater Kailash II, also shared the second position with Maithli. He is the humanities topper with 99% marks.
- Girls again performed better than boys in the CBSE Class 12 results.
- The pass percentage of girls was 87.57 as compared to boys', which was 77.77 per cent.
- Overall, Thiruvanathampuram region recorded the highest pass percentage of 95.41.
- The pass percentage in 2015 was 82 per cent as compared to 82.70 in 2015.
- The total number of candidates who took the CBSE Class 12 examination was 1,040,368, marking an increase of about 1.2 per cent over that of last year.

CBSE popularly known as Central Board of Secondary Education is an education board which was set up in the year 1962 with its main headquarters in the capital i.e. New Delhi. The Central Board of Education is controlled by the Human Resource Department. In the year 1929 the government of India set up a joint Board named “Board of High School” and Intermediate education Rajputana. This further included Ajmer, Merwara, Central India and Gwalior.
As far as the announcements of examinations are concerned, the same shall be done latest by the end of December or starting of January. Once the examinations are successfully held, the results for class 10th or 12th will be declared in the month of May. It goes without saying that every year large number of students appear for these examinations and majority of them manage to pass the same.
In the year 2015, examinations for both classes 10th and 12th were held in the month of March. Class 10th conducted its exam in approximately 300 schools, 78 centres and had a total number of 10,29, 874 students appearing in the same out of which number of boys were 7,93,940 and the total number of girls were 5,35,030.
As and when the results are announced, students can visit the official website to attain the result. These examinations play a very important role in the life of students. This is because on the basis of these examinations students are provided with an opportunity to step into new horizons. Also students are supposed to work extremely hard and stay focused when it comes to scoring maximum marks in the examinations. Immediately after class 10th examinations candidates are offered with varied choices in different fields such as Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce and Arts. All these subjects thereby comprise of various subjects. For instance in medical the subjects included are Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. In non-medical, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English are there. Similarly every area comprise of different subjects. In addition, commerce does not include any subject of medical or non-medical except English. Further commerce is subjugated into commerce with Mathematics and without Mathematics. English proves to be a common language and is there in every field.
Thus, immediately after class 12th examinations students are provided with various choices. Hence, all these choices depend on the choices made after class 10th examinations. Therefore, students should be extremely careful while making such choices.
