CLAT Result 2021

CLAT Result 2021 will be declared this year by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). The consortium is expected to declare the CLAT 2021 Result on time, as per the annual exam calendar followed by them. As per the timeline been shared by the consortium, law aspirants can expect the CLAT 2021 Result to be out in the last week of June 2021. Like every year, CLAT 2021 Result will be declared online on the official website and students will be able to download CLAT 2021 Scorecard and CLAT 2021 Merit List from there. The CLAT 2021 Result will specify the qualifying status of the candidate along with the individual scores in each of the sections.

CLAT is a gateway to seek admission in the premier law colleges of India including National Law Universities in India. CLAT 2021 Results for UG and PG courses play a very important role for the students. CLAT 2021 Result comprise of final screening mechanism to shortlist and select aspirants for further admission process at National Law Universities and other premier Law Schools which offer LLB or undergraduate law programmes and LLM i.e. postgraduate law programmes.

CLAT Result 2021 – Important Dates

As mentioned above, the CLAT 2021 Result will be declared on time by the Consortium. This year, the CLAT 2021 law entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on 13th June, keeping this timeline in mind; it seems very likely that the NLU will declare the result in the last week of June, 2021.

In addition to the CLAT 2021 Results, the Consortium of NLU will also issue the official CLAT 2021 merit list that announces the names of the CLAT toppers in the law entrance exam. The CLAT 2021 merit list is generally published separately for both UG and PG exams.

CLAT Result 2021 Seat Allocation

Around 2622 seats will be allocated based on CLAT Result 2021. Although the final cut off of seats is announced after the official declaration of the result. Out of the total number of seats, around 1480 have been allocated as All-India seats and around 604 seats have been dubbed as state level seats while 258 seats have been assigned as special category seats.

Steps to check CLAT 2021 Result online

CLAT 2021 Result will be declared in the last week of June, 2021. CLAT Result will be made available to the candidates who will appear for the exam on 13th June 2021 in online mode. The CLAT 2021 result is generally released on the official website i.e. www.clat.ac.in. Candidates should note that due to large number of students attempting to check CLAT Result 2021 online, at certain moments, the official website suffer from technical problems. CLAT 2021 Result – Important Information / Details to Cross-Check

After the announcement of CLAT 2021 Result, candidates are advised to cross-check and verify all the details provided in the CLAT 2021 Scorecard. Here is complete information that will be mentioned on the CLAT 2021 Result scorecard which candidates should verify:

  • Candidate’s Name: Aspirants are advised to cross-check whether their name mention on the CLAT 2021 scorecard is same as provided on the CLAT application form along with the correct spelling
  • Father’s Name: Another important information that needs careful attention is father’s name mentioned on the scorecard. Check and tally the correct spelling as specified in the application form
  • CLAT 2021 Application Number: The CLAT 2021 application number should be mentioned correctly on the CLAT 2021 scorecard. 
  • CLAT Roll Number: Roll number mentioned on the CLAT 2021 scorecard should also be the same as issued after the completion of CLAT application form
  • Law Programme: Make sure that the programme / course for which CLAT scorecard stands valid i.e. undergraduate / postgraduate
  • Category: Verify the category being mentioned on the CLAT scorecard i.e. General, SC / ST / OBC
  • CLAT Score: Carefully take a look at the overall CLAT 2021 score being secured in the CLAT examination

CLAT 2021 Result – Tie-breaker Formula

If in case two candidates secure the same number of marks in CLAT 2021 exam, the following formula will be used for tie-breaker to prepare the CLAT 2021 merit list and cutoffs.

Formula for UG Programmes

  • For candidates securing equal marks in CLAT Result 2021; candidate with higher marks in Legal Aptitude section will be ranked higher
  • For candidates securing equal marks in CLAT 2021 Result and Legal Aptitude section; candidate with older age will be ranked higher
  • For candidates securing equal marks in CLAT 2021 Result, legal aptitude section and of the same age; tie will be broken through computerized draw of lots

CLAT 2021 Counselling Process

CLAT 2021 Result will be declared in the last week of June 2021. After the declaration of CLAT Result, CLAT 2021 counselling process will begin where Consortium of NLUs will conduct the online centralized counselling process for the candidates who appeared for the CLAT 2021. Through the counseling process, candidates will be given the choice to lock their preferred option (NLU) by paying a requisite fee. Only those candidates who have featured in the CLAT 2021 merit list will be called in for the online counselling process. Candidates securing CLAT 2021 AIR i.e. All India Rank are generally called for the CLAT counseling on first-cum basis. Once the seat is allotted to the candidate, it is mandatory to deposit the fee with the respective college (NLU) to lock the seat option being chosen. 

About CLAT 2021

There are 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) that participate in the exam Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 exam for short-listing students for the Under-Graduate (UG) / Post-Graduate (PG) Law programmes. CLAT Entrance exam is the only way to secure admission in one of the top 22 National law universities, to pursue the most coveted LLB/LLM programmes offered by these NLU and associated institutions.

Aspirants should note that the admission is granted on the ‘merit-cum-preference’ in accordance with the eligibility and other criteria as laid down by respective NLUs. The participating 22 National Law Universities are listed below:
