JEE Advanced 2020 Result – Tie Breaker Formula

In case two or more candidates secure the same number of marks in the JEE Advanced 2020 exam, the rank in the merit list will be decided on the basis of a tie-breaker formula. The tie-breaker formula to prepare the final merit list of students is provided below:

  • If two or more candidates secure the same number of overall marks, candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher
  • If two or more candidate have same number of overall marks and marks in Mathematics, candidate with higher marks in Physics will be ranked higher
  • If the tie in terms of marks still continues, both the candidates will be given the same rank

JEE Advanced 2020 – Counselling

Candidates who will be qualified according to the JEE Advanced result 2020 will have to register themselves for the common counselling process of JoSAA. The JoSAA Counselling Process for JEE Advanced will be notified after the declaration of the result and candidate will have limited time to register themselves for the same. The JoSAA Counselling Process will facilitate the course selection and seat selection process for the students. Through the JEE Advanced Counselling Process, seats will be allotted to the qualified candidates for admission to different undergraduate programmes offered by IITs, NITs, IIITs & CFTIs.  The allocation of seats at IITs other premier technology schools will be done on the basis of choices selected by the candidates during the counselling procedure. The seat allocation process will be done on the basis of merit rank, choice of the candidate and availability of seats at a particular institute.

JEE Advanced Result – Things to Keep in Mind

With regards to JEE Advanced result 2020, candidates must keep the following things in mind:

  • IIT Delhi will not send JEE Advanced 2020 Result Scorecards / Rank Cards to any candidate individually.
  • Separate category-wise JEE Advanced 2020 merit list will be released by JoSAA for OBC (NCL), ST and SC candidates
  • Minimum marks required to qualify in the JEE Advanced 2020 exam will vary, as per the category of the candidate
  • Qualifying in JEE Advanced 2020 exam, participating in the common JoSAA counselling process doesn’t guarantee admission to IITs or ISM.
  • Admission to different IITs, NITs, ISM and CFITs will depend on the availability of the seats in the different counselling rounds.

JEE Advanced Result 2020 Toppers

The toppers of JEE Advanced 2020 will be released by the conducting body. The JEE Advanced result will be able to have a preference of course and the institute in which they want to pursue their studies. Last year, Gupta Kartikey Chandresh from Ballarpur, Maharashtra secured the AIR 1 or the All India Rank 1 in the JEE Advanced Exam. He scored 347 in the JEE Advanced exam. About JEE Advanced Exam
