The Jammu and Kashmir state board of education is considered the main board of school education in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The board of education is an autonomous body under the administration of the state government of Jammu and Kashmir. Around 10,609 schools are affiliated to the board and it employs approximately 22,300 teachers.The main objective of this board is to provide quality education to the students and promote equality of opportunity by providing necessary facilities. Adding on, all activities related to the board and education are regulated, controlled and developed by the state of Jammu and Kashmir up to the higher secondary level by providing varied courses and also to award certificates to the successful candidates.
As far as class 10th and 12th examinations are concerned, the same would be held in the month of March and the examinations will be over latest by April.
