Karnataka Board conducted 2nd PUC Exam successfully which Start from 11th March 2016 and Ended on 28th March 2016. Those students who are appeared in the examination can check their results online in May 2016.
The Karnataka Second PUC (Pre-University Certificate) results were announced on 18 May at 12 pm. 6.10 lakh students had written PUC exams out of which 3,69,474 students were passed. The pass percentage in the state in 2015 is 60.54. State records 60.54 pass percentage; Dakshina Kannada tops the chart; Mysuru District stands 16th with 65.73%. Out of 6,10,323 candidates who appeared for the examinations conducted by Karnataka Board of Pre-University Education, a total of 3,69,474 have passed with a total pass percentage of 60.54.
Even this year the girls have outsmarted boys with an overall pass percentage of 68.24 compared to 53.09 overall pass percentage by boys.
A total of 65.19 percent students have passed in Science, 67.06 percent in Commerce and 51.12 percent in Arts.
Dakshina Kannada district has topped the State with a total pass percentage of 93.19 followed by Udupi (92.32 %) and Uttara Kannada (81.19 %). Gadag district stands last in the list with a total of 51.02 pass percentage.
Neighbouring Kodagu district stands fourth in the list with 79.84 overall pass percentage, Chamarajanagar stands 9th with 72.16 pass percentage and Mysuru is placed 16th with a pass percentage of 65.73.
Last year, Mysuru district was placed 15th with a total pass percentage of 58.76.
Out of the total 33,127 students who appeared for the examination this year in Mysuru district, 19,395 students have passed recording an overall pass percentage of 65.73. Among the students who have passed 11, 221 are girls and 8,174 are boys.
Among the II PUC colleges in the State, 55 colleges have achieved 100 percent results while 47 have secured zero percentage. The 2nd PUC exams were held between 11 and 28 March. More than 6.1 lakh students appeared in Science, Commerce and Arts streams. While 3.1 lakh students were boys, 4.96 lakh students were girls. 82,067 were repeaters while 4,96,00 wrote the exams for the first time.

In the overall performance 10.38 per cent of the student’s achieved distinction. 51.87 per cent scored first class, 21.23% scored second class while 16.52% scored third class. Grace marks have been awarded in Mathematics and English up to nine and five marks respectively. 45 unaided PU colleges have a zero pass percentage while 42 colleges have cent per cent results. According to the district wise result Dakshina Kannada has the best pass percentage of 93.09 per cent followed by Udupi with 92.32 per cent and Uttara Kannada third with 81.19 per cent
The Karnataka Board of the Pre-University Education conducts the Pre-University examinations (Class 12th exams) in Karnataka. In the year 2014, the examinations commenced on March 2015. The results for the same were announced on 18th May 2015, and 610000 students appeared for these examinations and majority of them manage to clear the examinations. Thus to appear for these examinations, it is mandatory for the candidates to pass the Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination or commonly known as Class 10th examination.
