Karnataka Board PUC Exam 2016 is conducted successfully from 11 march to 28 March 2016 and result will be announced in the month of may 2016.

Last Yeart The 2nd PUC exams were held between 12 and 28 March. More than 6.1 lakh students appeared in Science, Commerce and Arts streams. While 3.1 lakh students were boys, 4.96 lakh students were girls. 82,067 were repeaters while 4,96,00 wrote the exams for the first time. 

In 2014, 6.15 lakh students appeared for the Karnataka 2nd PUC and the II PU Supplementary Results were announced for a total of about 2.19 lakh students across the state of Karnataka. This year, around 5 lakh students appeared for the Karnataka 2nd PUC Examination 2015.

Karnataka SSLC Results 2016

Karnataka recorded its best results in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination with an overall pass percentage of 81.82 per cent. The SSLC results of the Karnataka Board 2015 exam, announced on 12 May 2015 are better than the 81.20 per cent recorded in 2014 Karnatka SSLC Exams. Total 8.37 lakh students were appeared in the exam examination out of which 6.85 lakh have passed. The overall pass percentage of fresh candidates stands at 84.85 per cent while the pass percentage of repeaters is 44.83 per cent and 14.14 per cent for private candidates. Like every year, girls have outperformed boys with 86.23 per cent against 77.85 per cent.

Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board came in to existence in the year 1966, and the board has been successfully conducting SSLC and other examinations. Every year there are large numbers of students who write examinations and the number keeps on increasing.

For the academic year - April 2016 about 8.38 Lakhs students are appearing for the SSLC examinations.

The board has decided to improve the evaluation system and the results, every year the quantum of the board examination has been increasing and hence divisional offices of the Board have been set up in order to decentralize the student needs. The board is now providing Admission Tickets with student photographs and major breakthrough in this venture is the photos being used in the repeaters Admission Tickets also. It is for the first time, results of the April 2011 shall be announced with the students' photos in the result sheet. Photos will be maintained in the volumes of the Board.

The board has ventured to conduct the complementary examination for the failed candidates of the examination of March in June month of every year itself; this will enable the students who would be successful in the June examination to join higher education courses in the same academic year from July itself. This process was introduced first time in the country.

The board regulates and supervises the system of Secondary Education in the state of Karnataka. It implements and administers various activities that include devising of courses of study, prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations, granting recognitions to schools and, providing direction, support and leadership for all secondary educational organizations under its authority.
