The SSLC examinations ended on March 23 and the valuation process is scheduled to end on April . Last year, the results were declared on April 20 and sources say the Education Department wants to achieve the target on the same date, if not a day or two early.

The Office of the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Pareekshabhavan has officially announced that the Kerala SSLC results 2016 will be announced in the month of April, 2016. The Office of the Commissioner for Government Examinations - Pareeksha Bhavan is located in Thiruvananthapuram and conducts Kerala's Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)/ class 10) examination every year.
In the last year, 25944 students wrote SSLC examination. This year the number of students has increased by 823. Among those appearing for examination, 26713 students are regular schools-going students and 174 students are appearing privately. In the regular stream, 3271 students belong to the scheduled castes and 103 students belong to the scheduled tribes. 1509 invigilators have been appointed for the examination. 13122 girls and 13591 boys will appear for the examination from four educational districts in Alappuzha.
As many as 9,04,382 students were appeared for the examination at 2,008 centres in Kerala, Lakshadweep, Mahe, and the Gulf. Of these, 4,51,452 students, including 2,27,589 boys and 2,23,863 girls, will take the first year examination. As many as 4,32,760 students, including 2,14,012 boys and 2,18,748 girls, have registered as regular candidates for the second year examination. Students taking the examination also include 20,170 in the compartmental category and 3,813 differently-abled students.
For the year 2015 the Kerala Board SSLC Results were announced on 20 April 2015 and approximately 464000 students appeared for the examinations and for class 12th the results were announced on 21 May 2015. The number of students who had appeared in Kerala Board Plus 2(HSE) examinations were 4, 42,829. It has been observed that the number of students writing these examinations has progressively increased and also the pass percentage among both males and females have also improved.
