Maharashtra’s Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSC) 2016 conducted by the MSBSHSE from 18 February, 2016 till 28 March, 2016 for which 13,88,467 students had appeared at 2,581 centres across the state and 8,818 colleges had participated. Of these, 7,82,181 were male and 6,06,286 were female students and 44,430 were repeater students. Out of the registered students, 5,02,248 appeared from the Science stream while 4,70,161 were of the Arts stream, 3,55,802 in the Commerce stream and 60,255 from the Vocational stream.
After giving the Maharashtra HSC, students will be waiting eagerly to get the results. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education was formed under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. The Maharashtra State Board conducts SSC Exams through the nine Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State; these are located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nasik, Amravati, Nagpur, Latur and Ratnagiri.
The Maharashtra Board conducts the HSC examination twice every year and the number of students appearing for the HSC main examination is approximately 14 Lacs. If we see last year’s stats, the HSC 2015 exams were conducted by the MSBSHSE from 21 February - 23 March, 2015. Total 13, 39,202 students appeared for Maharashtra HSC 2015.
While in 2014, total 13,37,114 students had appeared for the Maharashtra HSC examination 2014.Out of which 4,50,176 had appeared for the science stream, 4,66,723 from the arts stream, 3,62,705 from the commerce stream and 54,347 from the vocational stream.
