Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (Maharashtra Board, MSBSHSE) SSC / HSC Result 2016
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education was established under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. The Maharashtra State Board conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards that are located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nasik, Amravati, Nagpur, Latur and Ratnagiri. The Board conducts the examinations twice every year. The approximate number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 Lacs for HSC while 17 Lacs who who appear for SSC. For the supplementary examination, approximately 6 Lacs students are expected to appear for HSC and SSC together. In the entire state, there are about 21000 schools (SSC) and 7000 (HSC) Higher Sec. Schools / Jr. colleges.
In the year of 2015, around 1700000 students appeared for the Maharashtra Board SSC while a total number of 1339202 students had appeared for the Maharashtra Board HSC Examination.
In the Maharashtra Board SSC result 2015, the state saw a 3.14 per cent increase in the result compared to 2014 with girls ahead of boys with a pass per cent of 92.14 as against 90.18 per cent of that of boys.
A total number of 15,77,303 students registered from nine divisions that are mentioned about, out of which 15,72,268 students appeared for the MSBSHSE SSC exam and 14,37,922 cleared the examination.
If we have a look on the Maharasthra Board HSC 2105, the exams were conducted by the BSHSE from 21 February - 23 March, 2015. Total 13,39,202 students appeared for the exam.
