The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education was formed under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. While there were 1,53,401 repeated students registered of which 1,52,552 students appeared and 75,262 students passed the exam with a pass percentage of 49.34.
