The Board of Secondary Education Manipur was set by an Act of Manipur legislative assembly in the year of 1972. Currently, there are around 786 high and higher secondary schools under the board flagship. All the schools in the Manipur state are managed by the government or private bodies. The board not only conducts the examination, the board also tailors syllabus and curriculum, preparation, printing and distribution of educational text books from class 1 to 10th. There are total 226 Government, 103 Government aided and 457 Private schools, making it a total of 786 high and higher secondary schools in the state. The board conducts the examination for HSLC and HSC in the month of March/April every year.
The Manipur Board Results 2016 for both HSLC and HSC shall be announced few months post the completion of the examination. In the year of 2015, the result for HSLC and HSC were declared on the second week of May. If we go a year more behind, in the year 2014, the results for class 10th examinations were declared on 15th May 2014 and the results for class 12th examinations were declared on 13th May.
