The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is a yearly state level examination conducted by the Odisha government for admission into Homoeopathy (BHMS), Ayurveda (BAMS), Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, Integrated MBA (5 years), M Tech, M Pharm, M Arch, M Plan and lateral entry into engineering courses in the state of Odisha.

In India, there are around 93 Engineering Colleges, 80 Management Colleges that use the OJEE scores to get admission.

Last year, the OJEE was held on 14th May, 2017. More than 52,560 students had appeared for the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) which was conducted at around 88 centres in 21 cities of Odisha in three different sittings.

Soon after the official declaration of the results, the scorecards will be available on the board's website i.e www.ojee.nic.in.

The candidates can get their OJEE rank cards 2018 after entering their roll number and date of birth on www.ojee.nic.in

After the announcement of OJEE 2018 results, the counseling will start across different cities of Odisha. However, this year the board is yet to declare the exact date for counseling.

The OJEE is also the route for admission into professional courses that include MTech, M.Pharma, B.Pharma, MBA and MCA, Bachelor in Ayush and Homoeopathy besides lateral entry for B.Tech, M.Pharma, MCA and MBA both in government and private institutions.

For direct admission into B.Tech courses, the students can take the JEE Main route while for the admission in MBBS and BDS courses, the students need to clear the NEET.

The OJEE is popularly known as Odisha Joint Entrance Examination which offers admission to candidates who desire to pursue their engineering under-graduate courses in the state of Odisha.

The candidates who want to take admission in B.Tech and B.E courses are bound to qualify JEE main.

There are certain eligibility criterions that the candidate must fulfill to sit in these examinations.

Odisha JEE Result

Soon after the official declaration of the results, the authorities will make them available on the website via online process.  If the reports are to believed then the OJEE Result 2018 will be released in the first week of June 2018. Students are required to enter their roll number and other necessary details to view the result. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance exam.

OJEE 2018 Counseling

As stated above counseling is one of the most important parts of OJEE. This process starts after the merit list is being released. The counseling will be conducted via online mode. Candidates have to fill and lock their choices of colleges and courses as per their rank. As per the choices filled, rank and seats availability, seats will be allotted to candidates. Candidates are needed to carry the required fee and documents at the allotted college to complete admission process.

OJEE Registration 2018

Candidates can register for OJEE exam through online mode.

  • The OJEE application form 2018 was released from 31st January 2018.
  • The students have to fill their personal, academic, communication and other details.
  • One candidate can only apply for one application.
  • Upload the scanned images of photograph, full signature and left thumb impression in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the application fee through online or offline mode.
  • After completing the application, take printout of the application for future references.

Application Fee:

The application fee of OJEE examination is Rs 1,000 for Pharmacy, LE (B.Tech and Pharmacy), MBA, MCA, LE (MCA), M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan, Integrated MBA (5 years) and Rs 1500/- for MBA & MCA, MBA & LE-MCA, MBA & PGAT.

Fee payment can be done through debit/credit card or net banking. The students can also make the fee payment through e-challan of SBI (State Bank of India).

Study Material:

Those who are appearing for the examination must note that the ‘study materials’ are the most important aspect of these examinations. It is very important for the students to collect the valid study materials to crack the examinations. However, the books prescribed by Central Board of Education are also sufficient but the students need to get hold of other reference books by different authors.

It goes without saying that these entrance examinations are not a cake walk. In order to get through these examinations, the students must put their 100 per cent effort and stay persistence when it comes to preparing for these examinations.

Application Form:

The candidates who are appearing for these examinations must fill the application form first. The students can download the form through the official website of the board both online and offline.

As stated above, clearing the competitive examinations is not an easy task but one who clears it can reach greater heights in their career.

Once, the OJEE results are out, the ‘counseling’ process will begin. The counseling procedure is extremely easy and will be directed by the college authorities. The allotment of subjects is done through computerised distribution parallel counseling.

Generally, there is no separate counseling letter which is being sent to the students.

The candidates who are appearing for the counseling sessions must carry the original documents or attested copy of the same.

Those documents which are not attested will be considered invalid.

In a nutshell, it is important that every guideline must be followed. The counseling process has different stages and levels. These stages involve depositing of a certain amount of fee as well.
