Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) was formed in the year 1973 with a vision to provide better and quality education in secondary and higher secondary levels in schools. It was formed by passing the Tripura Board of Secondary Education Act 1973.

The Board conducts examination at Higher Secondary Level to assess the students and certify them for higher education. This year the board had conducted the examination on 02 March 2016.
