Flight cancellation and flight delay is the common problem faced by air passengers in India. If the flight is canceled, passengers must be informed at least two weeks before the scheduled departure and option of alternate flight must be given to passengers. If the airline operator does not inform the passengers, they should be given compensation in addition to the refund of the air ticket price. This compensation can be from ₹5,000 to ₹ 10,000.
