Application Process
Eligible voters must submit Form 12D, either online or at designated election offices inorder to request the vote-from-home facility. The form submission deadline will be announced.
Verification
Election officials will verify the submitted applications and confirm the voter’s eligibility for the vote-from-home service. A confirmation message will be sent to approved applicants.
Voting Date
A specific date for home voting will be scheduled before the general election day, ensuring timely participation. Voters will be informed in advance about the date.
Mobile Polling Teams
Election officials will visit the homes of eligible senior citizens with secure EVMs or ballot papers to facilitate voting. Each team will include an authorised election supervisor.
Acknowledgment Slip
After voting, an acknowledgment slip will be provided to senior citizens as confirmation of their participation. This will ensure their vote is counted and recorded properly.
