Maths is tricky
As Maths is a tough subject and some students are stuck at the BODMAS RULE, which is common. So, here we bring to you easy tips to solve BODMAS!
What is BODMAS?
It is a common method for solving maths issues. The full form is B – Brackets, O – Order of powers or roots, D – Division, M – Multiplication, A – Addition, S – Subtraction.
Brackets First, Always
Keep in mind that the brackets whether they are square, rounded, or curly take precedence. Always solve brackets first.
Mixing Up the Order
The ordering (square roots and powers) come after the brackets. Next, division and multiplication are done (left to right), and then addition and subtraction.
Forgetting Left to Right Rule
Let's say you have a problem where you have to divide and multiply. Work your way to the right starting from the left. This will follow for addition and subtraction too.
Overcomplicating
Make it easy. If you break down difficult tasks into smaller components and approach them methodically, there are less chances of mistakes.
Understand with example
428 – 60 ( 6 x 7 – 12 x 4), 428 – 60 (42 – 48), 428 – 60 – 6, this is because (-) (-) becomes (+) , then the answer is 428 – 66 = 362.
