GATE Counselling Process 2024 Commences
Starting from March 18, 2024, at 8 PM today, the GATE counselling process for 2024 starts. Only candidates who complete the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering can participate.
Gate Counselling Modes
There are two modes of conducting GATE 2024 counselling, which are COAP and CCMT. Admission to IITs is through COAP, while admission to NITs and IIITs is done through CCMT.
COAP Counselling for IIT
The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is a platform where MTech aspirants seeking admission into IITs register. The COAP fixes include registering as well as filling out choices for admissions to these colleges.
Admissions for IITs
IIT Kanpur releases separate application forms for M.Tech admissions through GATE 2024. Candidates must submit their applications separately on the official websites.
Eligibility for GATE COAP 2024
On a 10-point scale, candidates must have received at least 6.5 CGPA (for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC, or 60%), while SC/ST/PwD candidates must have received at least 6.0 CGPA, or 55%.
