Access to more than 13000 e-journals
Around 300 leading international publishers will make 13000 e-journals available, enabling students and researchers to read a large volume of academic content across the Web.
Who stands to benefit?
There are over 6300 institutions in India which include universities, colleges and government research and development organisations who will access this scheme.
Convenient to Use
Accessing the journals and the research papers will be easy for the institutions because the scheme has been made available on a digital platform.
Central Management
All subscriptions will be co-ordinated through INFLIBNET (a government body) which will pay publishers on behalf of the institutions.
Amount set aside for the program
The sum of Backward classes quota Rs 6000 crore has been earmarked for the scheme for the years 2025 to 2027 which is a solid indication of the focus of government to raise standards of education.
Awareness Campaigns
The scheme will include Running of awareness campaigns where students, teachers as well as researchers will appreciate how they can take advantage of the scheme.
