Bharatmala Initiative
Dwarka Expressway is an integral component of the larger Bharatmala project aimed at improving India’s infrastructure.
Haryana Stretch Details
The Haryana section covers almost 19 km and costs Rs 9,000 crore, starting from the Delhi-Haryana border to Kherki Daula.
IGI Airport Tunnel
Delhi part features a 3.6km eight-lane shallow tunnel near IGI Airport intended for high volume traffic movement daily with disaster recovery features in place.
Airport Connectivity

Elevated Expressway Design
The motorway spans approximately twenty-eight and a half kilometres. This creates distinct traffic levels and divides the flow of traffic on the motorway from that on city roads.
Impressive Elevated Lane

Building Cost
Dwarka Expressway, the eight-lane road was built at a cost of ₹4,100 crores as a strategy to ease NH-48 congestion.
