UGC Issues Guidelines for Varsities to Share Resources

UGC issued a letter asking HEIs to implement the guidelines on the optimal utilization of resources for students.
UGC asked HEIs to take measures and use the resources including libraries, equipment, labs, etc.
The letter said that the government has been supporting the universities and other HEIs in establishing infrastructural facilities to improve the quality of development.
The letter also says that Higher Education Institutions should adopt measures to share their infrastructure with other colleges and universities at a nominal price.
The commission also added that this additional revenue generated by the HEIs will help students of other universities to use their resources.
According to the guidelines issued by the UGC, the classrooms and laboratory will be accessible from 8 am to 8 pm on all working days.
