After passing the UPSC IAS Exam in 2016, Mr. Ansar Shaikh became the youngest IAS Officer in India. Let’s take a look at his inspiring success story!

Cleared UPSC CSE

At the age of 21, he achieved the 361st rank nationwide and passed the UPSC CSE on his first try.

Current posting

He is currently employed with the West Bengal state department of MSME and textiles as an officer on special duty.

Ansar Shaikh’s words

Without hard work, one cannot accomplish their goals, particularly those related to the UPSC CSE Exam. ‘There is no alternative to hard work.’

study routine

For 3 years, he consistently studied for 12 hours a day (sometimes even 15) in order to ace the UPSC Exam on his first attempt. He always understood the importance of education.

He received good grades all through his academic career. With 73%, he graduated from Fergusson College with a degree in political science.
