Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science & Higher Education for Women is a women's Deemed University, located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1957 by the Avinashilingam Education Trust and founded by T. S. Avinashilingam Chettiar as Avinashilingam Home Science College for Women, which later became a university. Presently, it is the largest institution in the country for home science education. It has received approval by the UGC (University Grants Commission). Avinashilingam University is ranked at 81st position as per NIRF rankings 2023.
