SPIT Mumbai offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on entrance examinations. Candidates must appear for the respective entrance examination and obtain a valid score to fulfil the Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. The SPIT Mumbai has a placement and training cell that organises the placement process for students. The placement department satisfies students' industrial needs and provides them with job opportunities through campus interviews. The placement cell organises grooming sessions to prepare and motivate students for interviews. It also organises practice sessions and mock tests on quantitative ability, aptitude, logic and reasoning to help students practise and enhance their skills before the final interview and written test. SPIT Mumbai also offers scholarships to candidates based on their merit. It has a campus size of 47 acres with a student and faculty count of 1407 and 62 respectively.
