Defence Institute of Advanced Technology is a Deemed University under the Department of Defence Research and Development and Ministry of Defence, located in Pune, Maharashtra. The institute was established in 1952. DIAT Pune is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and accredited by NAAC with &lsquo;B&rsquo; Grade. DIAT Pune offers postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the M.Tech course is based on GATE scores. For M.Sc. and P.G.D. courses, the candidates have to only appear for an interview. Candidates must fulfil the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. Defence Institute of Advanced Technology has a Centre for Training and Placement (CTP) who looks after the placement of students. DIAT Pune placement cell ensures that students are offered various placement opportunities every academic year. In addition to the placements, students are also offered summer internships. The CTP prepares students for the placement drive by conducting guest lectures, seminars, aptitude training, soft skill and technical skill development. DIAT has a campus size of 498 acres with a student and faculty count of 527 and 46 respectively.
