It was established in 1985 and is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. CUSAT Chennai is accredited by NAAC with &lsquo;A&rsquo; Grade.&nbsp;</p>

<p>HITS Chennai offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on both merit and entrance examination. Candidates must fulfil the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. HITS Chennai has a dedicated placement cell that looks after the placements of the final year students. The placement cell helps the students to achieve their goals. They also provide the training for motivation, acquiring communication and leadership skills through their workshops that benefits the students in their final placements. Industry experts of various streams visit the campus to give exposure about the corporate work culture. Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science also offers scholarships to meritorious and needy students. It has a campus size of 150 acres with a student and faculty count of 6646 and 454 respectively.</p>
