A total of 523 students secured positions through campus placements and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), reflecting the exceptional quality of education at IITK. The institution prepares students with industry-ready skills that are highly sought after by top companies globally. Among them, 199 students distinguished themselves by accepting PPOs from top national and international companies. Further enhancing the institute's global reputation, 13 students secured prestigious international job offers, underscoring the worldwide demand for IIT Kanpur's exceptional talent.
The first day saw active participation from 74 renowned organisations. Leading industry players such as Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Databricks, Google, American Express, SLB, and Deutsche Bank were among the top recruiters, underscoring the outstanding quality of IIT Kanpur’s talent pool.

IIT Kanpur Placement Report 2024-25: Phase 1
IITK successfully concludes Phase-1 of its 2024-25 campus placements. The placement drive, held from December 1 to 15, saw participation from leading recruiters across multiple sectors.
A total of 1,109 job offers were extended to the graduating batch, demonstrating robust industry demand. Among these, 1,035 offers were accepted by students, highlighting their strong employability and promising career opportunities.
A major highlight of this year's Phase-1 placement session was the 28 international offers secured by students, marking a 27% increase from the previous year. This phase also saw a notable rise in placements within core industries, fueled by growing student interest in these sectors. Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) were major contributors, with BPCL leading as the top recruiter in this sector.
In Phase-1 of the placement session at IIT Kanpur, more than 250 companies took part, showcasing a wide array of recruiters such as BPCL, NPCI, Databricks, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Qualcomm, Intel, Texas Instruments, Meesho, Shiprocket, Reliance, Meril Life, Deutsche Bank, ICICI Bank, American Express, SLB, Micron, Cars24, and FedEx, among others.
