Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur which is popularly known as IIT Kharagpur is a public university for Tech. studies that was established in 1951 by the Govt. of India. It is established in Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. IIT Kharagpur is one of the first Indian Institutes of Technology which has received the status of &lsquo;Institute of National Importance&rsquo;. IIT Kharagpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programmes. Admission to the programmes is based on various national/state-level entrance examinations. Candidates are required to register for the respective entrance examination to fulfill the IIT Kharagpur selection criteria to be eligible for admission. IIT Kharagpur has a Career Development Centre that conducts programmes through career counselling to improve professional communication, soft skills and personality.
