IMU Chennai offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. The admission to undergraduate courses like B.Sc, B.Tech and DNS is based on Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) while admission to BBA course is done on the basis of 10 + 2 scores. Similarly for postgraduate courses like M.Sc, MBA and M.Tech, admission is done through IMU CET while for PGDME, admission is done on the basis of the graduation scores of the candidate. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the counselling procedure. The admission to Ph.D and M.S is done on the basis of two written tests (MCQ and descriptive) conducted by the Indian Maritime University followed by a personal interview. For the final Indian Maritime University admission, candidates have to submit the documents for verification and pay the course fees.
