Kumaun University is a State University established in 1973, located in Nainital, Uttarakhand. Kumaun University emerged from the merger of two colleges, named, DSB Government PG College and Almora Government PG College. The university has been approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and UGC (University Grants Commission). Kumaun University, Nainital has also been accredited with &lsquo;A&rsquo; grade by the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).
