National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand which is popularly known as NIT Uttarakhand is a public funded autonomous technical institute under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It was established in 2009 in Uttarakhand, India. It falls in the 101-150 rank band, in the NIRF 2023 List under the <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/colleges/engineering">top engineering college</a> category and it is one of the 31 NITs of India. NIT Uttarakhand has been declared as an &lsquo;Institution of National Importance&rsquo; by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India.

NIT Uttarakhand offers UG, PG and Doctorate programmes. Admission to the programmes in this <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/colleges/btech">top B.Tech college</a> and <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/colleges/mtech">M.Tech College</a> courses is conducted through national level <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/exams/engineering">engineering exam</a>&nbsp;that includes <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/exams/joint-entrance-exam-main">JEE Main exam</a>. Candidates are required to appear for the respective entrance examinations to fulfill the NIT Uttarakhand selection criteria to be eligible for admission. NIT Uttarakhand has an excellent placement and counselling committee, it is a combined body with eminent members from faculty, students and staff of NIT Uttarakhand. The placement cell has also shown internship opportunities with stipends to their students, the training and skills programmes are planned and designed to train the students for real industrial experience during the internship period. The placement and counselling committee monitor all processes in the placement process, from sending invitations to the top MNC companies, sharing information, and documents and sending the offer letters to the candidates.&nbsp;
