Osmania University offers course admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and distance education courses. The admission is both entrance and merit-based. For some courses such as B.A, B.Sc. and B.Com, marks in the qualifying exam will be considered for admission whereas, for B.Com (Hons), the University conducts an entrance test. The admission to B.PEd. is made by the Convener PECET as per merit at the PECET conducted by the APSCHE. For PG courses, the University conducts an entrance test- Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET). The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the counselling process. Apart from CPGET, the university also accepts GATE, TSICET, CMAT, AP ECET and TS EAMCET scores, for admission to some courses. For Osmania University Ph.D admission, candidates must appear for the Ph.D Eligibility Test or UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ SET-TS/AP /JEST /GATE/ GPAT examination. Candidates must fulfil the Osmania University selection criteria as per the respective courses.
