Puducherry Technological University was established in 1984 and is the first State University of the Union Territory of Puducherry. It is located in Pillaichavady region of Puducherry. The University aims to achieve global eminence through transformative learning and research. PTU Puducherry is recognised by the AICTE. As per NIRF Rankings 2023, the University falls in the 151-200 rank band.&nbsp;

Puducherry Technological University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral courses. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of the University in order to seek admission. PTU Puducherry has an active &ldquo;Internship and Industry Interaction&rdquo; cell that collaborates with various organisations and supports long term educational, research and management development programmes for both parties. The campus spans 208 acres with a student and faculty count of 2381 and 138 respectively.&nbsp;
