Punjabi University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is either merit or entrance-based. Candidates must fulfil the Punjabi University admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. The primary objective of the Punjabi University, Patiala placement cell is to guide students towards job placements or entrepreneurial success. It conducts placement drives, training programs and the career counselling sessions to guide students in making informed career choices. The placement cell focuses on developing domain-specific skills, communication skills, soft skills, aptitude training and provides internship opportunities to students. Additionally, the placement cell conducts technical workshops featuring industry experts as guest speakers to enhance students' employability. The aim of the placements is to facilitate a successful transition of students from academia to the professional world.
