TSM was established in 1962 and is still one of the top leading autonomous colleges for management in the country. Located in Madurai, the school is affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU). NIRF gave the college a ranking of 96th position and has also received the accreditation from NBA. NAAC graded TSM with an &lsquo;A&rsquo; grade for its efficiency in the academic aspects. Majority of the faculty are all graduates from the top universities like IIMs, IITs, etc. International tie-ups with universities like Malaysia, Binghamton University, New York, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, etc have helped TSM garner praise all around.

TSM Madurai offers postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT entrance examination. Candidates must meet the Thiagarajar School of Management selection criteria to be eligible for admission. TSM Madurai placement cell looks after all the placements related activities of the students. Right from inviting recruiters to the campus and conducting interviews to managing dates and times with the students. The placement cell also arranges various co-curricular activities, seminars and workshops for the students which helps them in exploring different aspects of professionalism, corporate culture and leadership and making them better individuals. TSM has a campus area of 17.00 acres with a student and faculty ratio of 476 and 26 respectively.
