University of Jammu is a Public State University, established in 1969, located in Baba Saheb Ambedkar Road, Jammu. The University is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with &lsquo;A+&rsquo; Grade and recognised by the UGC (University Grants Commission). Jammu University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on entrance examinations. Candidates must fulfil the University of Jammu admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. The placement committee of Jammu University acts as a medium between the students and recruiters. Jammu University placement committee helps the students to get good placement opportunities by inviting organisations to their campus placement drive. The placement cell also conducts placement training and programs to prepare the students for the final placements. The activities include resume-making sessions, specialised skill training, personality enrichment, mock interviews, communication skills and industry insights sessions. The Placement Cell also provides various internship opportunities to students in prominent companies so that they can learn practically about how the industry works.
