Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) expects to start registration in October 2026, and the tentative exam date is scheduled for April and May 2027. VIT Vellore's admission is based on the entrance exam that is conducted by the University. The institute conducts the following entrance tests for the following courses:

VITEEE, VITMEE, VITBEE, NATA, UCEED, CAT, and XAT are the entrance exams that must be cleared to get admission to VIT. VITEEE is the entrance exam for securing a seat in B.Tech; VITBEE or National Tests like CAT, XAT, or MAT Scores for securing a seat in MBA; or VITMEE or GATE Score for M.Tech. The basic eligibility requirement for all courses is a minimum 60% aggregate in Class 12 from a recognised board and a three-year graduation degree from a recognised university.

- The Online test will be conducted on their respective campuses, monitored by campus coordinators.
- Physical Interviews for the shortlisted companies are conducted at any of the VIT Campuses based on the convenience of the recruiters, and interviews for students from other VIT Companies are also conducted.
