When he passed the IIT-JEE in 1985, he received an All India Rank (AIR) of 563. After completing his mechanical engineering degree at IIT Kharagpur.
Worked in Tata steel
He started working at Tata Steel in Jamshedpur in 1989, but he left the company in 1992, citing his need to study for the Civil Services Test.
JOINED THE INDIAN REVENUE SERVICE
Following his passing of the Civil Services Examination, Arvind Kejriwal became a member of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in 1995.
WANTED TO FOCUS ON SOCIAL WORK
Arvind Kejriwal quit his work in 2006 to devote more of his attention to social causes and started the Public Cause Research Foundation.
