The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, has opened online applications for its January 2026 Ph.D intake. Prospective students must successfully clear a Computer-Based Test (CBT) entrance examination to be considered for admission.
The registration period began on January 12 and ends on January 26, 2026. The entrance exam is scheduled for February 7, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.

Ph.D Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the course, a candidate must have at least one of these qualifications:
Medical qualification:
- MBBS or BDS degree with at least 55% total marks.
- Postgraduate degree (MD, MS, MDS, DM, or MCh) in the relevant subject.
- Diplomate of National Board (DNB) qualification.
Nursing Qualification:

An MSc degree in Nursing with at least 55% aggregate marks for admission to the College of Nursing.
Non-Medical Candidates
- A two-year Master’s Degree from a recognized Indian university.
- Degree specialization based on the specific requirements of the project.
- The Non-Medical Qualification Category includes degrees such as MSc (excluding Nursing), MTech, BAMS, and BHMS. A minimum of 60% marks in the final qualifying examination is required for eligibility under this category.
Master's degrees obtained through distance learning are not accepted for eligibility.
