All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur or AIIMS Raipur is a medical college and medical research public university. It is situated in Raipur, Chattisgarh, India. It operates autonomously under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). It is also governed under AIIMS Act, 1956. It was established on 20 June 2012. AIIMS Raipur is ranked 39 under the medicine category in the NIRF 2023 ranking list. It has granted the status of &lsquo;Institution of National Importance&rsquo; by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India and approved by NMC (National Medical Commission).
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur: Highlights
AIIMS Raipur offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Admission to the programmes is based on entrance examinations. Candidates are required to appear for the respective entrance examination and obtain a valid score in order to be eligible for admission. AIIMS Raipur offers numerous scholarships to its students. The scholarships are offered to students from reserved category. Students academic performance and annual family income are taken into consideration while providing scholarships. The institute has special scholarships for ST students. Top Class Education for ST Students and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF) for ST students are the two scholarships offered to students. Candidates willing to pursue Ph.D programme can avail Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for ST Students whereas, students pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate programmes can apply for Top Class Education for ST Students.&nbsp;
