Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani is a deemed-to-be university, established in 1964, located in Pilani, Rajasthan. BITS Pilani is also recognised as &lsquo;An Institute of Eminence&rsquo;, approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission) and PCI (Pharmacy Council of India). BITS has three campuses located in Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai. It was one of the 6th institutes to be declared as Institutions of Eminence in India. It was ranked in the 11th position by NIRF in the Engineering category. It was also ranked at the 2nd position in the Pharmacy category by NIRF.&nbsp;
BITS Pilani offers&nbsp;Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma&nbsp;courses in Pharmacy, Management, Engineering, and other streams. It has also collaborated with several overseas universities and industries such as&nbsp;La Trobe University, Cardiff University, the University of Nottingham&nbsp;and more. BITS Pilani offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. Admission to the courses is based on merit secured by the candidates in an entrance examination. Candidates must fulfil the BITS Pilani admission criteria to be eligible for the courses. Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani offers placements to final year students. BITS Pilani placement cell acts as a bridge between the students and the organisations. The placement committee invites companies 2-3 months prior to the placement drive. Interested organisations contact the committee with required data through a Job announcement form. The requirements are scrutinised and a formal invitation is extended to the organisations. With mutual consent, dates and time for selection is fixed. Company details and visits are informed to the students through the announcement form. Aspiring students who fulfil the eligibility criteria, have to apply for the job. After that, student details are shared with the organisations. Student volunteers help in the smooth conduct of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani placement drive. After the screening of the candidates, a list of shortlisted candidates is announced. Finally, selected students are given the offer letters.
