Birla Institute of Technology is a deemed-to-be university, established in 1955, located in Mesra, Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is ranked at 71st in NIRF Rankings 2023 under the University category. It was the first institute to establish a Department of Space Engineering and Rocketry back in 1964.
