Delhi University UG Admissions 2025: Key Guidelines for CUET Registration and Subject Selection

If you wish to join Delhi University’s undergraduate programs for the 2025-26 academic year, you must take the CUET (UG) 2025 exam. Admissions to all UG programs will be based only on this test, which is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The CUET (UG) exam will be held for admission to over 65+ colleges offering more than 75+ UG programs. 

The online application for the CUET UG 2025 exam started on March 1, 2025, and concluded on March 22, 2025. A correction window was also made available from March 24 to March 26, 2025. The agency extended the registration to March 24, 2025, and correction dates were extended from March 26 to March 28, 2025, so that the students could apply on time. The exam is scheduled from May 8 to June 1, 2025(tentatively). Students interested in applying should do so promptly.

Important Points To Remember While Applying for CUET UG 2025

When a candidate applies for an examination like CUET (UG), there are some important points that a student should remember before applying for that particular examination. Students who want to get admission to Delhi University should read the Bulletin of Information (BOI) available on the university's official website.  

The BOI (bulletin of information)  contains important details about the eligibility criteria for different undergraduate programs and a complete list of Delhi University-affiliated colleges that offer those courses.

To help the students, given below are some important points that should be considered while filling up the application for the examination, and they are as follows:-

  • Admission to all undergraduate programs at Delhi University will be based on CUET (UG) 2025 scores.
  • To be eligible for admission to the undergraduate program, a candidate must have passed class 12th from a recognised board.
  • A candidate must appear in the CUET (UG) 2025 examination in those subjects only in which they cleared class 12th.
  • If a subject studied in Class 12th  is not listed in CUET (UG) 2025, the candidate should choose a similar or closely related language or domain-specific subject. (For example, if a student studied Biochemistry in Class XII, they should take Biology in CUET (UG) 2025).
  • Admission and seat allocation will be based on the combination of Language(s), Domain-Specific Subjects, and/or the General Aptitude Test (GAT) taken by the candidate in CUET (UG) 2025, as per the program-specific eligibility criteria.
  • The candidates must read the program-specific instructions carefully and then apply for the language and domain-specific subject for the CUET (UG) 2025.
  • Candidates seeking admission to the University of Delhi must also apply to the University of Delhi’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) (UG)-2025. 
  • A candidate who has a gap year has no restrictions to take admission in the Undergraduate programs offered by the university, but they have to appear for the CUET (UG) 2025 examination. 
  • The University of Delhi has imposed no age restrictions for admission to undergraduate programs for any candidates except for some programs, where a minimum age has been prescribed.
  • A candidate should regularly check the official websites of CUET and NTA to be updated about any new updates or changes made.
