
Goa Institute of Management or GIM is one of the most famous autonomous management colleges in the country. The college was established in 1993 by Romuald D'Souza. It is accredited by AMBA, SAQS, & BGA and is a member of the AACSB. It is also approved by the AICTE and AIU. It offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme is equivalent to the MBA degree. It is affiliated to Goa University and has been recognised by the NBA and AICTE. It was also ranked at the 43rd position by NIRF 2025 under the Management category. ICAR-CCARI Goa signed MoU with the Goa Institute of Management for integrating science, technology, academia, and management in the field of coastal agriculture & allied sectors.
Admission to GIM Goa is based on an entrance test. Admission is done to its flagship PGDM course via CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT and other scores. GIM Goa conducts GAAT or GIM Analytics Aptitude Test for admission to PGDM BDA and IDA programmes. It also offers an international dual degree in Analytics (PGDM - BDA, GIM + Masters in Business Analytics, Nova School of Business and Economics, Portugal).

GIM admissions are based on entrance exams, and GIM Goa cutoffs are based on CAT, XAT, GMAT, and CMAT for post-graduation programmes like PGDM. As per the GIM Goa CAT cutoff 2025, the overall cutoff for PGDM is 90 percentile for round 1 in all categories

The Placement at GIM is based on a hybrid mode: Summer Internship and Final Placement. The Highest Package offered for Final Placement at GIM in 2026 is INR 35 LPA, with an average of INR 16.27 LPA and a Median package of INR 15 LPA, and the top recruiters being Deloitte, HDFC Life, Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, Mahindra, ITC, NPCI, etc. According to the Summer Internship Placement 2026, the Highest Stipend offered is INR 3 lakhs, with an average of INR 1.06 lakhs and a Median of INR 1 lakh. Major recruiters include Jio Star, Havells, Aditya Birla Capital, etc.
