IIM Ahmedabad was established in 1961 and has remained at the number 1 position for colleges in India for a very long time. NIRF 2024 has ranked it at 1st position and 62nd in the world by FT rankings. In 2017, the institute was accorded the status of an 'Institute of National Importance' by the (MOE) Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad: Highlights
IIM is one of the few institutes in India to be given European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation by European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). This institute is known for its two-year, full-time, residential flagship PGP (also known as <a href="https://www.jagranjosh.com/exams/business-management">MBA</a>) programme that offers admission based on a valid CAT score. Every year, about 90 students come to India to study at IIM Ahmedabad through its Student Exchange Programmes (SEPs) and around 150 students get a chance to visit abroad. The institute is known for its excellent placements, IIM A has maintained a record of placing 100% students over the past four years. The IIM Ahmedabad institute has a student and faculty count of 1116 and 106 respectively.
